Video Production – Sony SIG

Conveners :

This Special Interest Group specialises in video editing and production using all SONY products, including VEGAS with both the Platinum and Pro versions. We cater for all members from beginners to advanced and work with all video formats from standard definition (SD) up to full high definition (HD) using both tape, DVD, and solid-state video cameras.

The following topics may be covered at meetings:

  • Sound track production using Sony Cinescore
  • Voice over recording using both Vegas and Sound Forge
  • Basic picture composition
  • Lighting for video
  • Working with Sony DVD Architect to produce both DVDs and blu-ray discs.

Upon request, we can look at the conversion of 8mm movie film to a digital format using the groups special conversion equipment.
